We collect these data
Every access to the online offer of the German Federal Youth Council is registered in a logfile. The logfile stores the following data:
- IP address: The server needs this in order to deliver data. The IP address is promptly pseudonymized by our provider and we can at no time identify and associate this to a particular connection.
- Date and time, accessed page/name of the accessed file, data volume transferred and notification if access/retrieval was successful: this way we can see how content is accessed.
- Self-disclosure of the browser (type, version, operating system)
- Search terms: This way we can see which content is searched and we can optimize search. This data is deleted on a quarterly basis.
The legal basis for this processing is Art. 6 para 1 lit. f (GDRP).
Embedded external services
Forour website, we use the analysis tool Matomo (https://matomo.org) to optimize our search. Matomo and the corresponding database are operated on our own server. A content-blocking browser extension such as uBlock Origin when using Mozilla Firefox can block this analysis. This does not hamper the usability of the website.
The website may embed external services (e.g. YouTube). These external providers obtain information about access to the website. Depending on the browser setting, the retrieval happens automatically. Through the use of an ad-blocker, these services can be deactivated in advance. This may, however hamper the functioning of the website.
Orders
For orders we collect the following data: email address, delivery and billing address, and date and type of order. The data is exclusively stored for the dispatch of the order. Only a few authorized individuals who are technically or commercially involved in the process have access to this data.
Forms
For the preparation of events and meetings of our bodies we use forms (Powermail), where we collect personal data. The data is temporarily stored exclusively for this purpose. Only a few authorized individuals who are technically or organisationally involved in the process have access to this data.
Social media buttons
Social media buttons can transfer the following data to website operators: IP address, browser information and operating system, screen resolution, browser plug-ins installed, origin of the visitor. The data are only transmitted after clicking on such a button.
Sharing of personal data with third parties
Data which is recorded when accessing the online offer of the German Federal Youth Council is, apart from the embedding of services, only shared with third parties insofar as we are obliged by law or following a court order: in the case of attacks on the internet infrastructure that are subject to legal or criminal prosecution. Data is not communicated for any other reason.
External links
Our online offer contains links to websites of other operators. We have no influence on whether or not these external providers conform to the data protection clauses.
